Disturbing statistics

In the United States, there is approximately one stillborn baby for every 115 live births, which is roughly 26,000 stillbirths each year. Though, actual numbers are unknown due to lack of standardization in recording stillbirths, more are lost to stillbirth then all other forms of infant death combined.

So somebody tell me WHY we're not doing more research into this???

  1. I wonder the exact same thing... it makes me mad that these numbers aren't more published and more research isn't being done to save our little ones... How do we get the word out though? That's my dilemma...

  2. As far as society is concerned, a baby is not alive until it takes it's first breath. That is how they justify abortion. No research will be done on something that society deems of little importance. I think it is shameful but that is how it is and things will most likely never change.

  4. I have read a lot of BLM stories over the last month and it is really rare to find a stillbirth where the mom did not feel something was amiss and had it dismissed as "typical" pregnancy issues. They don't want to do research because then they will be the ones held liable. I was warned by my attorney that my record will most likely be "fixed" to make it appear everything was done as it should have been.
